Pozo-Alcón extends its municipality to the southeast of the province of Jaén, in a virgin and priviledged enclave which is one of the areas with the greatest biodiversity of Andalusia

It is surrounded by the Guadalentín and the minor Guadiana Valley and crowned by the Sierra del Pozo, a mountain range in the biggest national park of Spain.
